Rotora Big Brake upgrade option

So I wasn't happy with the original brakes that came on my 2SS, even the they stopped well they didn't inspire a lot of confidence and had a numb feeling. A friend of mine ordered the GM 6 piston set up with his and while its an upgrade I didn't feel as it was worth $3200.00 for front calipers and rotors.

Rotora has been manufacturing big brake kits on high end vehicles for a long time and with the help of J&R Performance in Phoenix they have come up with a serious brake upgrade. 8 piston front calipers, 4 pads per caliper, 16" front rotors and S/S brake lines for the front and 4 piston calipers, larger brake pads, 15" rotors and S/S lines for the rear.
All I can say is WOW, ran the Roval at California Speedway last weekend and while power wise my 6th Gen is stock is was lapping faster than most modified cars, I was making up the additional time under braking.

These brakes have amazing pedal feel and have some serious stopping power.

Wow. They look amazing. How do they compare to the $3200 stockers, price wise?

The front kit is $4200.00 and the rear kit is $2900.00. They also offer a slightly smaller 6 piston kit for $3300.00 front and $1600.00 rear that is an upgrade over the Factory 5 piston.
I'm building mine for big power so I stepped up for the big kit. Magnuson supercharger, Kooks long tubes, heads and cam are next.

Very nice. Does rotors have their own line of brake pads with a few options, or do they use a universal pad (shape) offered by a few companies in different compounds?

They have there own line of pads especially made to work with there calipers in 4 different compounds.
H2 Street and light track use
H6 High Ceramic, Race/Track Pad. This is the one I went with.
H8 Ceramic Metallic, Race/Sprint pad
H9 Carbon Metallic, Race/sprint pad

I do believe the pad is a universal shape so it should be offered by other companies.

Rotors makes nice brakes that stop well. I used to have them on my old G35. I had 8 position front and 4 piston rear with 15 inch rotors all around. I'd love to have another set on the Camaro.
