Total BS if you don't get to keep the originals, esp at $2500!

Those wheels can be bought new for around $350/ea, so $1400 for 4.
Throw a set of tires (non run flats) for maybe $1000 and you're at $2400 + misc expenses, AND have a complete set of new take-offs you can sell, making some of that $ back.

I tell people all the time, Do not buy the upgraded wheels. Get the stock wheels then put on OEM upgraded or some aftermarket for about the same price. Then either sell the stockers for whatever you can get or use them for something else.

If it was an LPO option, you keep the originals too.

Link above should provide evidence to point to when discussing with the dealer(s) ... 5JX (wheels shown above) option calls out you are ordering 2 sets of wheels when selecting that option.

The dealer is denying the original wheels don't come with it.

Recommend reaching out to GM ... if it’s one of the LPO packages or wheel upgrades, should include the extra set. Their chat confirmed when I asked but do not believe many dealers expect to include or have customers request too frequently

When I bought my new 2016 2SS back in April of 2016 it had the LPO optional black wheels and I never got the original silver wheels that came on the car. It also had the optional black suede knee pads and I didn’t get the standard knee pads that came with the car. It didn’t matter to me because I didn’t want the extra parts.

If it’s technically a dealer add on and the customer desires the original equipment, there should be no reason why not to include ... as many have mentioned, it’s paid for (and they would have had those parts at the dealer). Now the dealer may be used to have these parts returned through their parts division 99% of the times ... thus often unfamiliar when approached with such an ask.

In your example, there will be parts where it’s not worth it or if any significant value. But in the instance of having the ability of maintaining an extra set of take offs to swap between seasons, probably makes worth the added hassle for the buyer to pursue.
