A10 Shift RPM for those at 750rwhp and higher?

Curious to what your tuner changed your shift points to as well as the fuel cutoff if you know it.

reason i ask the question, when i looked at mine it appears they didn't raise my shift rpm or the fuel cutoff compared to stock which means to me i am leaving HP on the table

My old Camaro shifted at 6500 out of 1st and then 6900 for the rest of the shifts. Went back and looked and extreme fuel cut off was 7300 rpms.

Horsepower level is not a indicator at what rpm to shift a engine. You need to look at your dyno graph and examine a few things. Find peak power then look a few hundred rpm both directions. If the power curve is pretty flat both sides of where it peaks then likely not going to make a big difference shifting higher. If the power carries pretty flat past peak but drops off fairly fast below peak then shift it 3-400rpm above peak.

That being said I imaging a stage 2 cam car with a 2650r should be shifting at 68-6900rpm pretty easy and you will want fuel cut around 72-7300rpm. I shift my stock cam whipple 2.9 setup at 6700rpm and power peaks around 6400rpm. Fuel cut is set to 7k rpm.

Yup, almost exactly what I had and it made power to those RPMs and above but didn't want to push it beyond that. Pretty safe as long as it shifts on time. We didn't push my stock block with the 2300 that far, I think about 6400 was max on that one.

As mentioned above, you need to look at your dyno sheet. Just because your buddy is shifting at 7000 RPM doesn't mean you need to. You could be losing HP.

I will look at it and see how high the pull was..i dont recall what rpm he let off

Usually with a stock cam I doubt you be pushing past 6500 on the shift. Do you remember what it was with the stock blower?

I ended up going with Edelbrock. Car makes some good power, I just was never able to make it to the track this year.

So, I double checked my tune file and my shift rpm is still stock. I also looked at my dyno sheet and it doesn't show rpm, so no help there.

A dyno sheet with no RPMs? Strange. Does the graph show a steady increase in power until cutoff?
