Dealer can't get parts, zl1 has been down over a month

Is anybody had any luck or is there a good contact for someone at GM to help escalate when a car's been down for an extended period of time?

My 2022 ZL1 1LE has been down for an extended period of time, The front passenger strut mount has come apart and it's not drivable.

Just looking to see if anybody had any luck escalating things through GM?

I have a parts order in for over a month for some mundane plastic and it keeps getting kicked back.

Until this strike is resolved I wouldn't expect to get anything.

Sad thing is that you could find it online somewhere and have it to you in a couple of days.

Best you could do is contact Customer Care at GM. Just Google the number and explain your situation.

Maybe see if you can get the parts online, bring them to dealership, and have them re-imburse you.

Just give it a little more time. I've been waiting on some bolts since Sept. They finally shipped last Friday. The strike has everything backed up.

Strike has nothing to do with it. I waited 4 months for a rebuilt trans last year as they claimed GM had no new transmissions available. All the while they are literally manufacturing vehicles with my 10-speed in them. Later to find out there were other members getting warranty replacement transmissions NEW. Not taking that long either. GM does what they want with your money and your time.

Not just GM, I’ve been waiting on a center console lid for my X5 from BMW since June and all they tell me is ‘back ordered in Germany’

I’ll be holding them to the free install since I ran out of warranty after they ordered the part.

20 years ago I had a E30 part "on a boat somewhere" for over a year. I'm guessing it sank because I had just stopped asking if it came in.

GM transports most of their own parts from their distribution centers. Dealers weren’t able to get parts during the strike. Hopefully now that it is over things will begin to get back to normal. I’m waiting on a fuel line that was back ordered before the strike. I’ve been trying to get in touch with the service advisor all day to see if he has an update.

Is there a Hendrick dealer near you? I just took mine in for the rt front strut. They will have it back together this week. Evidently they have those in stock.
Good luck.

Try a different dealer of course. You can contact durango motor company customer service and see if they are able to help you.
I know it can be very frustrating when things can't be delivered on time and when dealer takes his time to answer one simple email.
I think there is nothing we can do about that except writing our reviews about good/bad customer services.

13 weeks for lifters and pushrods

When a lifter froze it took 13 weeks, May to August 2023 to get 16 lifters and 16 push rods. One frozen lifter in each bank so all had to be replaced per GMC.
