Did PM lapping session with ProFormance at Pacific Raceways yesterday. First time on Camaro on this track. Did 33 full laps, plus several training laps, spun once, burned 25 gallons of gas. So much fun - no groups, no sessions, just driving from noon to 5pm, enter and exit the track any time you want. Gas tank is the main limiting factor - price at the pump on the track is $10/gallon, and the closest gas station in the nearest town is at least a 10 minute drive.

Track = Pacific Raceway - Kent, WA
Elapsed Time = 1:37.20
Year / Model / Trim / Transmission = '22 1SS 1LE (M6)
Date = 6/9/23
Tires = OEM SC3
Mods = Castrol SRF fluid, stock pads, GM front strut tower brace, GM track alignment specs

Question

I find it interesting many of you more talented folk run PTM RACE.
Every one of my HPDE sessions I'm in Sport 1.
The amount of time lost to delayed throttle response (I believe) is worth the times it's saved me from spinning / over steering / gravel traps.

My 1:41 GingerMan time is decent for an SS, but I could get another 0.4 sec with a more aggressive setting supposedly?

I went From PTM S1 to S2 between corners in a hot-lap... I went back to S1 before the lap ended (b'guck) 🐔

Is that where they say the "talent runs out"?

I started out using "race" never used any other mode. I didn't want to get use to the nannies helping me. (Once accustomed to something its hard to do with out it) It makes it hard to learn and feel the car breaking points. Even in race there is a lot of interface from the car...

All you guys with the Gingerman videos and lap times! Impressive! Making me jealous. Gingerman was the first track day for me in the Camaro. I have been chasing and crushing PBs at Grattan and Mid Ohio. Need to head back to Gman and see what I can do!
