Great upgrade. Beautiful car. The damp carpet behind driver was probably caused by the bladder system GM used to channel rain from the top. The driver's side tube was more than likely loose or not attached at all, which allowed water into the cabin rather than routing it through the rear quarter panel onto the ground. Went through this personally. While I love verts I don't miss it enough to have another. Besides you'll now have a lot less rattles and squeaks. Enjoy that new toy! Cheers.

Damn. I think you're right, I remember reading something about how the water is drained through tubes that can get loose. This would make sense
