I would trade my 2012 in towards such a car. Then i wont be so tempted to mod my ZL1

Here is where the article came from on the Chevy site

I suspect if Chevy were to offer an SS option with a focus on street/strip performance instead of track, it may become their best seller in the Camaro performance line-up. They already have a big weight advantage over the present competition, so it wouldn't take much.

IMO there is just too much focus on track with a 1LE, V6 & V8, ZL1, ZL1-1LE, and possibly a Z28.

A street/strip focused ZL1 would be awesome, and would be an answer to the present Hellcats, Demon, and the coming 500.

That is very interesting. But Chevy already has the COPO, they just need to figure out how to make it street legal and perform. Will it also be banned by NHRA for no rollcage? I guess we will wait and see. Go Chevy Go.

Don't think it would matter for you and your area... Anything Chevy would release would still be slow by Houston Stock standards..

I see all my yearly TX2K buddies yapping up a storm over on FB about it... watching all the out of towners coming in and being introduced to the idea of unless you're over 900 tire, stay out of little Mexico.

The Fireball Camaro has already been considerable faster than the Demon and its WAY less money... off the dealer floor!
