I think it looks more aggressive with the handling pkg. The HP also includes an oem oil separator that doesn’t require any maintenance by the owner once installed.

GT500s are really good-looking cars from every possible angle. I think if I also had a GT500 (in addition to my ZL1) I'd have a hard time deciding which one to drive on a regular basis. I guess I'd take turns. Decisions, decisions!

Yea it might be a bit easier for me to decide since I've had my ZL1 for 5 years now and the GT500 is new to me. And I'm sure the Shelby will get more looks than the ZL1. So I'll probably drive the GT500 more. I just can't wait until I get the chance to finally drive it in a few weeks!!

This is all quite hilarious considering previous convos, but all jokes aside, enjoy that sweet ride when it arrives Blaq!

Ha, true. I'm still in the honeymoon phase with my ZL1 (those tend to last a really long time with cars I love).

The ZL1 has great road presence and styling, and people regularly ask to take pictures of mine when I'm out and about in it (or I see them taking pics while driving or from afar at Cars and Coffee type events), but I agree, I'm guessing the GT500 will get a few more looks than a ZL1.

I think the GT500 is a little louder than a stock ZL1 under throttle, too. Speaking of loudness, a true cold start in my ZL1 with the stock exhaust on cool or cold days (e.g. sits overnight in my 45-50 deg F garage in the winter) is exceptionally loud. I'm curious how much louder a GT500's true cold start is. I know your ZL1 is modified so you won't have an apples to apples comparison...

I was in that phase for the first 4 years of owning mine and I didn't even think about modding it. That's just how good these cars are stock.

From videos I have seen it appears that the GT500 is indeed louder than the ZL1 in Track Mode. I'll know more when I get mine.

The GT500 in track exhaust mode is much louder than the ZL1 and about the same in sport exhaust. My ZL1s all had the exhaust fuse pulled.

Just wait till you add headers. My cold starts now wake the dead (and it's just an SS with a stock NPP exhaust, not catless, I don't want to be that guy) .

I have the same exhaust header setup (no Maggie though) and you could not be more on point. I have unintentionally awakened neighbors, frightened pets, and scared senior citizens in parking lots with cold starts. I am not proud of myself.
