What is this leak? 2019 RS V6

Just noticed a little leak from under the upper front end of the car. Couldn't get a good enough look to see where exactly it's coming from. Quick vid uploaded.

Dipped finger in and consistency and look is like water with no smell. Car just hit 13k and no issues in the past.

Just want to have an idea what it could be before calling in for service.

Agreed! That just about has to be a coolant leak. If you are brave enough to touch your fingertip in the fluid and taste it on the tip of your tongue and find it to taste sweet - its coolant.

Coolant? That far back? That generally appears to be somewhere in the area of where the door and fender meet.

Doesn't seem to be coming from the exhaust. My initial thought would be AC condensate, especially since he stated no color/no smell. With no smell, it will likely have no sweet taste either as coolant has a distinctive smell, too.

I watched the video again and see your point. The drip point is behind the engine compartment. My coolant comment comes from the quantity of fluid. I have never seen that much a/c condensation and I live in hot and humid SC where the a/c runs most of the year. Maybe its condensation.

Good luck OP. Its hard to diagnose without being there in person. If I were there I'd taste the fluid for you and eliminate the coolant question!

Color? As far as I can tell from the video it is clear, which would be consistent with AC condensation. Could absorb some on a white paper towel to see.

BTW, coolant can contain ethylene glycol and methanol - wouldn't advise tasting it.

I'm fully aware of what's in coolant - I didn't say drink it for goodness sake!

Just put a tiny drop on the tip of your tongue and then rinse it out.

Anyway if that is condensation - its a lot. Not normal from my experiences.

And I'm out of here before the nanny state chases me down for consuming illegal substances.

Don't think its coolant as did small taste and touch test, identical to water. Also coolant temp has remained normal for past couple days, no spikes or dips.

Others elsewhere have also stated A/C condensation but as SSDan brought up, it'd be a lot and unusual as its not even that humid where I'm at.

Haven't seen it come back since the day of the post, anyways got an upcoming oil service appointment this week, will bring the leak up then and see how it goes.

Look for stains under the car where it naturally drips. Generally, that could be a combination of AC condensate AND water from the exhaust...

That looks like AC consensation that built up then drained. Middle of the car..

Check your carpet in footwells for moisture,,,,

That's a lot for condensation and it's normally on the Pass side of the car.
