She just hit the ground this afternoon. Dealer prep tomorrow morning, and then afternoon pickup. Unfortunately, she goes straight to paint correction and protection.

2021 SS 1LE

I personally took delivery of the truck today! I’m a manager at the dealership so I’ll be handling her myself through the pdi process and everything.

I came across a 2018 1LE for sale and took about 2 seconds to decide to go for a test drive. I knew right away I had to have one and to semi-retire my '97 SS. All the local dealers had ZL1's and they were telling me the wait to order a 1LE car was 3 to 6 months. True or not I found exactly what I wanted on the showroom floor in Auburn, Washington 2 states away. So on Sept. 27th I flew their from Sacramento and drove it home.

Best road trip you could have as long as the weather cooperates.
Mine was only 125 or so miles away, but still a great first drive, took the back roads all the way.

Enjoy the 1LE, you won't be disappointed.

Ummm that's not a 2018. The nose is 2019+. It's gotta be a 2019-2021.But it is beautiful.

That looks like a '20 or '21 model. Still a fantastic car! Nice to see the 'other' LT1 getting track duty BTW

I'm thinking he drove the 2018 then started his search for a new one.

The 2018 was a used car I didn't buy. But I drove it and wanted it right away. But after the second test drive and discussion the next day I decided that particular car wasn't for me (mainly no PDR and 33,000 miles for $33,000). But that is when I realized what an amazing car the 6h Gen 1LE is! And the price for a new one really wasn't out of my comfort zone and it is one helluva car for the money! Also at the same time I was faced with freshening up the engine on the '97. It has been an awesome car but my history with that version of the LT1 engine has made for some difficult times for me.

Congrats and gorgeous 1LE. That Riverside Blue has gotten my attention as I am thinking about getting back into an American muscle car soon.

There is a Summit White and Riverside Blue one sitting at my local Chevy right now (according to their website)...Both of them are M6 which is what I would want.
I may have to go look at them tomorrow???

Autonation Chev in Peoria, AZ had 5 or 6 a few weeks ago when I was deciding on mine. That was the only other Dealer near the Left Coast where I could find one that was not loaded up with stuff I didn't need. I almost went their for the white one but decided on the blue one in Washington instead.
