VIR road course commentary...
This was a brutally hot event for us Middle Atlantic folk with ambients in the low/mid 90s and oppressive humidity. Porsche Club running VIR Full.
First & foremost even in Advanced group, starting on grid at the beginning of a session was imperative to ensure some clear track. Weeding around 25 Caymans for 15 min isn't my idea of fun. The car performed well and somehow I managed a PB even in the heat. My car is basically stock with ZLE wheels/tires. The Goodyear Supercar 3Rs are amazing. Only other mods are Eibach Pro Springs, G-LOC race pads, Motul 600, Green Panel air filter, and Borla Secondary cat delete pipe. My unfortunate conservative driving style is my worst enemy but I had some friendly coaching to push me prior to my sessions. So, I managed a 2:03.96 in a mag ride ZL1 A10. Here is a link (2nd lap): I also ran 2:04.13 on the next day. When you have to get the A10 serviced pay close attention to the fluid level. It is sensitive to overfill or underfill. Overfill purges fluid after a few laps & shifts erratically. Underfill by half a quart or so & cold shifting will suffer slightly. Cold (below 150°) the 5-6 shifts flares a little but this subsides as the tranny temp hits 200°. I had a fun weekend & the car did well.

Nice driving! Dis you find sport1 to be intrusive? It looked like you were managing very well.
Also, is it just me or the spread between 6 and 7th gear seem a smidge too tall? Just a smidge..seems like with a shorter 7th you could still be pulling like freight train. |

Good work. Thanks for posting. Love me some VIR!
I'm trying to get to VIR in mid October for a Chin event. Unfortunately, ZLE will stay here, I'm going to borrow Dads C6 and drive down from DC area.

I'd actually suggest "competition mode" - I played with it at Shenandoah and really liked it. TC is off but stabilitrack is on. It does still feel like it's doing some power pulling but could be a subconscious feeling. This was on R888Rs. The TC / SC / eDiff seems to be better with them then on the Supercar 3rs. |
