Teaser - Illuminated Camaro Shield...
I swore I wouldn't post this yet, but I can't help it. Here is a teaser of something we're working on. I will be replacing my rear Bowtie with this.
VIDEO This is currently being powered through a 12V inverter to a 9V battery. A 12V source will make it brighter. GM will not allow us to sell it if it plugs into the factory electrical system, so it will be supplied with a battery. Just remember, it operates on 12V Also, just to reiterate, this is a prototype and is subject to changes. Last edited by dragonZ28; 10-10-2015 at 03:57 PM. |

Looks great...if it will be powered by a battery...i assume a hole will have to be drilled thru the trunk lid for wire to battery?

Also, I have to supply a battery. But you could wire it into your brake lights/taillights. I can't tell you to do it that way - that's up to you. |

Umm... replacing your rear bowtie with that is illegal in about 40 states. In your state, it is illegal on the front, but can be on the rear as long as it does not flicker or alternate in any way. Every state around KY it is illegal to be directly visible from any angle of a moving vehicle, so you may want to have a deactivation switch for it if you plan to travel out of KY at night (assuming you'd tie it to your tail lights low relay).
