2019 camaro ss Manual no launch control

Hello everyone , I just bought a 2019 camaro SS 6 speed manual. I have been looking up how to use launch control on the web and my instruction manual to find the when I get into competitive mode, go into the options, launch control is not selectable nor show up on the display. Everything I have seen says that my car should have launch control. I called the dealer and they said to bring it in. I was hoping someone could help educate me? Thanks in Advance

It doesn’t say launch control. It is active in the modes indicated in the manual.

There is no launch control menu or setting in your car but you do have launch control. The cars that have a menu for launch control are the track cars such as the 1LE and ZLE cars.

But from page 214 and 215 in the owner's manual:

Quote:
Launch Control is only available
when the following criteria are met:
. Competitive Driving Mode is
selected.
. The vehicle is not moving.
. The steering wheel is pointing
straight.
Manual Transmissions
. The clutch is pressed to floor
and the vehicle is in
1 (First) gear.
. The accelerator pedal is rapidly
applied to wide open throttle.
The Launch Control feature will
initially limit engine speed as the
driver rapidly applies the accelerator
pedal to wide open throttle. Allow
the engine rpm to stabilize.
A smooth, quick release of the
clutch, while maintaining the fully
pressed accelerator pedal, will
manage wheel slip. Complete shifts
are described in Manual
Transmission 0 201.
Driving and Operating 215
Automatic Transmissions
. The brake pedal must be firmly
pressed to the floor, equivalent
to a panic brake event.
. The accelerator pedal is rapidly
applied to wide open throttle. (If
the vehicle rolls due to wide
open throttle, release the
throttle, press the brake pedal
more firmly, and re-apply the
accelerator to wide open
throttle.)
After the vehicle is launched, the
system continues in Competitive
Driving Mode.
1. So put the car in Track mode with the selector.
2. Put car in Competitive Mode (double press of traction control button).
3. Press clutch pedal to the floor.
4. Put transmission in 1st gear.
4. Stab the throttle pedal to the floor. (RPM's will come up and hold around 3500 or so).
5. Smoothly but quickly release the clutch pedal while keeping your the accelerator pedal to the floor.
6. Take off like a bat out of hell and shift when necessary.

That's true for our 2016-2018 Camaros and the sequence still works on 2019+, but post-refresh SS cars also have configurable launch control (and line lock, and HUD rotation... too bad gm never ported these back to pre-refresh models, but we all know how the game is played).

Are you going into "Options" in the DIC while NOT in comp mode to set the parameters? See page 177 of the 2019 Owners Manual for explanation and graphics on how to do it. It appears you DO NOT do this while IN comp mode, you use the DIC menu to set it up beforehand. The only indication that you're IN Comp Mode is the illumination of the TC (traction control) amber light in the instrument cluster when you double tap the TC button.

Yes I’m in competive mode, the car icon on left and the traction disabled icon on the right. When I go into the options I don’t see the launch control configuration either.

For what it's is worth, in case you never figure it out, the launch control on the manual has been proven to be slower than what a competent driver can achieve with all the electronic traction control stuff turned off.
