Hitting rev limiter
I got into a play racing situation on 2 lane country roads today and hit the rev limiter for the first time. It felt like I lightly hit the brakes. Is it bad for the car? Does this happen often to y'all when driving aggressively.

It's there to protect the engine so you can't over rev it. Doesn't hurt the car when you hit it.

Thank y'all, glad to know no it's not a bad thing.I had a 06 Acura RSX. It had a 8300 rpm redline. I never hit a limiter although I did get into the red occasionally.
