Four GM vehicles still in the top 10, two of which are Camaros.

...and the ZR1 is actually still #4, they messed up the ordering (the BMW M4 CSL in their most recent test was slower).

That car is 2.5 seconds faster than a zl1 1le around their track, and barely slower than a zr1 with 200hp more. I know it’s $140,000 but that’s damn impressive. Those bimmer horsepower must be measured in Clydesdales

Wouldn’t be surprised if that car is actually closer to 600hp.

I am confused why the ZL1 and the SS are so close in times. I know that they have a small track but you'd think that the ZL1 would be at least a second or two faster than the SS.

Impressive to see the SS 1LE ranked above the GT500!

There are no long straights and ss 1le has a better overall balance with lighter weight and good weight distribution. I want them to do a track comparison of Mach 1 manual vs Camaro ss 1le manual or both auto on the same Cup2 tires. Same as GT350TP, I don’t think Ford is allowing that. We only saw the PP2 vs 1le so far same day same tire comparison. Randy’s test doesn’t count because the 1le had brake issues with many miles on it, auto vs manual.

Lexus RCF track edition even costs around $100,000! Performance per dollar value is at minimum

I am a regular Throttle House watcher; big fan of them...that said:
The ZL1 1LE was ran ~3 years ago and was an M6. They have recently said the track is faster now than it used to be. Less green, so to speak. If they were able to test it again this season, it would get a better time. They also said the ZL1 1LE was in its stiffest suspension setting, and they have a bumpy track, so it wasn't able to put the power down as early as it should have. It would have been faster in a softer damper setting. Also, there's very few straights, so the power difference didn't help it much over the slightly lighter weight SS 1LE. Same story w/ the base GT500 they tested, which was on Michelin PS4S tires, nowhere to stretch its legs, so to speak. I wish they'd test a regular ZL1, I'd bet it would be quicker than their ZLE's time because: a) more compliant suspension, and b) more recent Throttle House lap times have been faster than older tests. It's also possible Thomas is a better driver now, 3 years later - he's done a lot of racing since then. I bet it would be in the 1:10s, about as fast as the M2 CS, I'm guessing. Also, they ran an SS 1LE on Cup 2 a few years ago, and more recently ran an SS 1LE on OEM Goodyear SC3 tires. The Cup 2 time was only 0.04 sec faster than the OEM Goodyear SC3 tires, which ran a 1:11.62. That isn't on this list for some reason. It's also missing the PP1 GT w/out MagneRide from a couple of years ago, which I think was in the mid 1:14s IIRC. The Supra was pretty impressive, barely behind the SS 1LE and GT500. I also have a '22 Supra 3.0 in addition to my '21 ZL1, so I'm glad to see the Supra do well. I can say from experience it is a very responsive handling car and almost exactly as quick in a straight line as an automatic 6th gen SS. The Supra's 3,350 lbs weight with 52/48 front/rear weight distribution (compared to ~3,900 lbs and 54/46 on my ZL1) is noticeable over my ZL1. The front end feels lighter, for sure.

I know a couple of people here already mentioned it but, general rule of thumb when looking at BMW stock BHP figures is to just immediately convert that to WHP, instead. If you see a BMW listed with 540bhp, expect that it makes around 540whp, 605bhp = 605whp, etc., etc. They also tend to size their turbos in a way that gives them monstrous torque. This is largely why Supra's are much quicker than their numbers imply. Not only do they weigh very little, but coupled with the aforementioned factors, they're actually much more powerful than their metrics lead you to believe.
