Low Fuel Warning

Anyone ever get random low fuel warnings?

This just started happening this last week. Car is only 1 month old...

The fuel level was not low in any of the times it's come on. Came on 5 minutes after filling the tank with 93 this last weekend.

Loose wire somewhere? Known problem?

Nothing weird has happened when this has happened - no limp mode or anything like that - just being cautious - going on a road trip this weekend (4 hour drive) so would rather not be stranded somewhere in the swamps of FL lol...

Take it back to the dealer. There are a fair number of posts that trace weird issues back to a variety of problems including poor grounds, bad batteries, defective modules, and even bad software that needs updating. If nothing else, be sure to get the issue logged into the system so they can check it out and have a record of the reported problem.

OP said he would get random warning even after just filling the tank. Would also like to know why that would happen.

Some background:
Car has a saddle tank. Right side has fuel pump plus a level sensor. Left side has level sensor module only. There is a transfer tube which allows pump to move gas from left to right. the car empties left side first, then right.

There is obviously some kind of logic the car uses based on the two level sensors so the pump knows what to do. The repair manual does not go into detail how this works. Maybe this system is so common with saddle tanks that it does not deserve special description.
