LOL...probably has more to do with where I live...Scottsdale AZ is a car Mecca.

Sitting at an ordinary traffic light is hardly ever ordinary...there is a Ferrari 488 sitting next to me...a Lambo Hurican across the intersection and a Porsche GT2/RS going through the light. Crazy sometimes but a 991 Turbo is ordinary and I think my ZLE gets more looks due to it not being ordinary around here.

I'm still learning my Porsches. Was this a 991.1 or a 991.2? I'm considering a 991.2 GT3 or a 991.2 Turbo S. If I don't want to spend that much, considering that it'll only be a toy, I might just get a 718 GT4 and do some light mods to it. I already have a fairly quick car. Doesn't really make a lot of sense to have two that are quick in a straight line.

I know it looks like a plain jane boring sedan, which is one reason why I love it, but it would be nice to get some other cars to try. The roads were relatively empty thanks to the holiday, so I could have messed around a bit, but no one would even look in my direction.

I then took out the zl1. At every light, people were staring at it. I had 2 separate cars full of teenagers revving at me (in their boring cars, nothing fun to play with). Others were asking me questions about the car or the wrap. I felt like a celebrity My wife was with me and asked if it's always like this.

Finally, I took the Tesla out for the last couple errands. I was invisible again. The car does 0-60 in 3.1 seconds, but no one cares or wants to play The car really is a blast to drive, but I may as well be in a Prius as far as anyone else is concerned.

It just cracks me up that so many people love the Camaro and want to chat about it or just wave. Don't take it for granted that you're driving a very special car that may not exist for much longer.
I think where you live has a lot to do with how much attention your car gets. Where I live people could care less about most of the cars Ive had.
I'd say my Hellcat back in 2016 got the most attention out of all my cars.
ZL1 very little and maybe a little more attention from my GT500 than the ZL1 Cool with me, as I dont buy my cars for attention.

I have a new Tesla S Plaid and it pretty much blends in with traffic. I do have an occasional bozo try to run up on my plaid. Usually pick up trucks lol .

My Turbo was a 991.1. Nothing wrong with the 991.1 Turbo's if you find one you like but might want to stay away from the 991.1 GT3 because some of them had the engine issue which Porsche put a 10yr 120K mile warranty on but the 2014 are getting close to running out of warranty. I owned a 2015 GT3 for a bit...one of the best sounding cars on the planet with the center muffler delete but mine still had the original motor so got rid of it while it was still valued in the market. Also my Turbo would have destroyed my GT3 in a straight line

I appreciate that feedback. I'm just starting to get into the weeds with those cars and I'm fairly certain I'm going to pull the trigger on one next year. I just need to finish buttoning up this TT and hopefully get a chance to run some fun cars before I feel like the power is a novelty--like a Plaid. I'm fairly certain it would be nearly door to door once I get some proper traction or I'll at least top end that car.

I get some people dont desire EV's and this is all subjective but to me the Plaid power is far from a novelty! The power has never gotten old (from any speed) and is still a thrill after several months over ownership. It is truly a weapon on the street/track(straight line) and ultimate daily driver imo. As a car enthusiast I still of course desire performance gas cars, but mainly on the weekends.

I daily my ZL1, but don't get too much attention with it which I'm glad for. I owned my SLC for 4.5yrs, was on the road for 2.5 of those years. While I loved the car and loved driving it, I really hated the attention it got. It's obviously expected, but I found more annoying than anything. I had a newborn at the time and when you want to just take your toy out for quick nice drive, get some gas, run some errands for an hour.... you think twice about taking the SLC because you'll be out for 3-4x longer than intended talking to people about it.

In hindsight, had it been a Viper, exotic, whatever other cool car... at least wouldn't have to explain the whole car, what it is, etc.... over and over. First world problems, I know.

It's very surprising to me, how many folks know there Cars. From young to Older you wouldn't think are into cars . When folks see my present or any of my past Cars thumbs up or the eye, folks that don't look like car folks. I as well like people and talking to them, but not when I'm or my cars are total center of attention . But goes with the territory, for us all.
Happy Motoring

I feel the same way about the model 3 performance. You don't really get bored with it. I think if anyone spent a couple weeks in a Tesla performance model they'd be hooked, or at least would stop trashing EVs

Viper owners still have to explain the car LOL. My favorite was a neighborhood self proclaimed “car guy” who stopped in my driveway to compliment my new Chrysler Crossfire (the Viper was about 15 years old then). He went on about how the new V6’s really put out the power. I was too dumbstruck to correct him. I just said thanks.

the worst comment I've ever gotten was from a co-worker about my Supra. It was a badass twin turbo mkiv, and I happened to get the very front spot outside of the office building. She and I were walking out together, and as I proudly went to open my door to go home, she goes, "Wow! Cute Celica!"
