2023 or wait for 2024?
I know news is almost non-existent. But can anyone think of any real reason to get a 2024 over a 23? Mostly interested in any possible lt1/ss performance differences that may happen? I'd rather not wait if it's unlikely to be any more powerful.

Highly doubt they are going to make any changes to a car they are going to discontinue. That being said, nobody knows until GM makes an announcement. You know as much as anyone on this forum of what GM is going to do. Everything is speculation until GM announces it. Good luck with your decision.

There has been no power change since 2016 so I would say is extremely unlikely they'll be one for 2024.

The Camaro team was disbanded in late 2018, and chief engineer Al Oppenheiser was reassigned to work on the electric Hummer. That's all one needs to know.
(Yes, his replacement was someone from the motorsports program, so it's a well concealed move, but its nature is what's relevant here.)

I'd put my order in now. If it doesn't get picked up as a '23 you'll have a '24.

I’d wait a couple months, the car market is beginning to disintegrate. It’s quite possible you may find what your looking for on a dealer lot. I’d also be looking a few states north of you.

I wouldn’t wait for 2024 based on performance upgrades because it’s very doubtful to happen. The car is in it’s 7th model year and the SS is still the same as it was in 2016 just with a refresh and a new transmission. The LT2 was built specifically for the mid engine Corvette, if there was anything GM could have taken with ease from that and applied it to the Camaro they already would have. 6th Gen Camaro will soldier on as is until it’s done. I’m sure they will have some kind of paint & stripe package to send the car off. I wouldn’t wait in hopes that 2024 will bring something new performance wise for the Camaro because it likely will not.

I say get one whether it’s a 2023 or 2024 before they quit production unless you are fine with a used Camaro.

Why would they change the engine or drivetrain? Woke gm hates ic engines.

Watch they will do something extreme for 2024. Like super cool decals or racing stripes that make the car faster.

The best you can hope for is the LTG gets a hybrid drive system and of course some fancy new decals.

There will be 0 performance upgrades. The only differences there may be will be some exterior color differences and possibly less options to choose from as they get rid of stuff.

highly doubtful like everyone else has stated above. What I have dreamed of for years was for them to put in the LT5 in there, but.... nope
