The zl1 attracts so much attention!

Today I had to drive all three cars back to back to back. It's so funny. The rs3's license plate frame literally says "F*ck around and find out," but no one ever tries to play around. I know it looks like a plain jane boring sedan, which is one reason why I love it, but it would be nice to get some other cars to try. The roads were relatively empty thanks to the holiday, so I could have messed around a bit, but no one would even look in my direction.

I then took out the zl1. At every light, people were staring at it. I had 2 separate cars full of teenagers revving at me (in their boring cars, nothing fun to play with). Others were asking me questions about the car or the wrap. I felt like a celebrity My wife was with me and asked if it's always like this.

Finally, I took the Tesla out for the last couple errands. I was invisible again. The car does 0-60 in 3.1 seconds, but no one cares or wants to play The car really is a blast to drive, but I may as well be in a Prius as far as anyone else is concerned.

It just cracks me up that so many people love the Camaro and want to chat about it or just wave. Don't take it for granted that you're driving a very special car that may not exist for much longer.

ZL1 looks

Drove my convertible ZL1 in the Thanksgiving day parade and all people do is shout do a burn out. I like the attention too. My tundra does not get any love.

I have never gotten that kind of attention in my ZL-1, ever. No one chats with me about it at the gas station, or at cars and coffee.

This car DOES get too much attention, I agree. I get it every time I take it out. It is cool, but at the same time it gets old pretty fast.

Pretty sure the wrap is what was drawing the attention if yours is the car with the mystachrome?

Yes the ZL1 gets more attention than the 2011 GT500 I owned

I get an occasional thumbs up or a question about it here and there. But not too much. My last run car was a Viper. In that car I couldn’t go anywhere without getting all kinds of attention.

Basically the same story when I had my RS4. But, there were the occasional people who knew what it was and asked me a bunch of questions about it, took photos, etc.

Maybe it's regional because I don't see many Camaros let alone ZL1's in my part of upstate NY and my car turns heads on the road and at gas stations.
Then there's that bark on startup that just can't be ignored. GM tuned that into the car is my understanding.

They definitely bark! When I was at the factory, the guys said that they always know when a ZL1 gets started

My ZL1 got a lot of attention the first year or so that I had it. I'd see people from afar standing near it, snapping pics, people walking by it grabbing their phones and taking pics. I had people ask me to take pics if I was near it. At Cars and Coffee people constantly came up to talk to me about it, sometimes drawing a crowd around it. There was even a lady (mom?) in a minivan at a stop light, do a double take, grab her phone, and take pics.

It seems the last 6-8 months it gets less attention out in the wild, maybe because I generally go to the same places and perhaps people that go to those same places (work, gym, etc.) are used to seeing it around now. It still gets comments at Cars and Coffee and gas stations, but I haven't seen a random stranger taking pictures of it outside a cars and coffee event in a while, whereas that used to be a common occurrence.

It still gets stares and oogles from pedestrians when I drive it through a busy parking lot.

Yeah, it does, but sometimes it’s the wrong
“Attention “!,i.e. car thieves, car jackers, or
Cops!

Yes they do attract attention especially at car shows and cars and coffee gatherings but I have noticed driving mine the average person doesn’t notice it being a ZL1 or even care what the car is.

My wife works in albany and has seen a few ZL1’s on 787 a few times black and riverside blue driving her ss sedan (Holden)

Have been up past your way on 87 a few time with our vivid orange ZL1 to monster performance lake george
