Just did an Ooops

Wife just filled up our ZL1 with 87 octane

Actually was 5.1 gallons but wonder what I need to do?

Reading the post on octane booster turning plugs orange I'm not sure about using any? Being that the rest of the tank was already 93 maybe the 5 gallons of 87 won't hurt that much?

Any suggestions other than don't let the Wife go get gas

Stock car with axle back exhaust and CAI.

If you fill 5 gals of 87 and 14 gals of 93, you'll end up with 91.4 octane which is better than what I get at the pump here. I would fill the rest of the tank w/ 93, run it down a few gals, then add more 93, and so on.

The 5.1 gallons topped it off so the rest is 93.
And Happy Wife = Happy life

91 octane is terrible for these cars. Even in stock form you'll get knock. Us poor bastards in California get hosed with fuel selections because all we have available is 91 octane. Guaranteed knock is a factor with anything less than 93, however.

Drive her nice and easy, don't get on it too much and then once you have burnt some of the fuel that is in that tank, refill it and you should be good to go.

The ECU will adjust to the fuel rating, but to be on the safe side I would take it easy until this tank is empty.

It will be fine. As others said just top it off with high octane. I have friends that refuse to use 93 and put 87 in there cars and have no issues at all.
