Also, the thought that the ZLE bushings are so difficult to install is overstated for an experienced mechanic. It's not that hard, lol.

And if you want to install the BMR kit, and you also think the increase in NVH with the ZLE kit is too much, you should've bought a Caddy instead.
I seriously doubt you were talking about the CT5V Blackwing, everyone that makes these silly statements are talking about Caddy's from the 70s and 80s when they were boats with a plush rise. A CT5V is going to ride firm like a ZL1.

All were north of $1k. Most worryingly, all the shops said they would just torch out the old bushings despite GMPP stating they need to be cut out. If you torch the OEM bushing out, you compromise the cradle.

I did the BMR as a DIY.

BTW - your Caddy comment made me LOL. Check my sig for why. I decided to get a ZLE for track and a BW5 for all other manner of fun. For exactly the reasons you mentioned.
There's different levels of torching... if you can put a lot of pressure on the bushing then it just needs a little heat, but some consider torching to be heating the metal until the bushing spontaneously combusts and then you can tap it out with a hammer. I did the former, didn't need too much heat and the bushing never burned. I do think many DIY'ers could get in over their heads, but if so the solution would just be obtaining the correct tools, it's not high stakes like assembling a motor.

Good choice on the ZLE and CT5V, get 'em while you can and most likely watch them appreciate like crazy over the next decade. I am about to order a ZLE, I don't necessarily need it but I think I'd regret it if I didn't.

I meant whatever Caddy you like, CT5V is firm but probably a bit softer and quieter vs a ZL1 and lower models will be even plusher. I'd love to have a Caddy as well as my Camaro.

We have installed both the ZL1 solid kit and the BMR lockout kit. Both are great, the ZL1 kit obviously being the best. The BMR kit is much more user friendly, and installs a lot easier. For 99% of people, I would say the BMR kit is more than adequate for their needs.

Did you notice any increase in NVH after the BMR kit install? Apologies if you already mentioned this.

None at all other than a slight stiffness increase.

NVH, there is a slight bit more vibration on off throttle slow downs.

Other than this, the increase in driving dynamics and stiffness is what GM should have dialed in for the final product.

I'm most impressed by the increased on throttle response...you get to find out what the ZL1 really feels like compared to stock!!

Thank you both, sounds like what you want from this kit in other words.

Thanks for bringing this back. I think the Cradle lockout will be my next mod. I want to be able to fully utilize the power I already have, before I start thinking about adding more power.

I'm thinking about the control arms. What parts are you looking at?
