Sounds right.

To me it sounds WRONG! But that may indeed be the going price these days.

Last I had a shop do a cam swap in an LS was 12 years ago and I thought the price of $2800 for everything was expensive.

Today-yikes! I'm gonna spend $400 on a jms bap, put it in myself, bump up to e50 and call it enough. Not enough budget to run with the big dogs. 700 whp should be plenty for what I had in mind. GL.

The LT$ is a lot more work compared to an LS motor. Sounds reasonable to me

Parts on a complete cam kit. Cam, springs, retainers and such are about $1500

That's on the high end. We charge $2400 for a cam install and dyno tune.

That sounds downright reasonable. What do parts cost?

Cam kits run about $1250 with all new lifters (16) and your basic GM head bolts and gaskets. So we're about $3650 all in
