Oh yeah, the V6 constraint. The car he has coming in is also a ragtop so it really is like $50K plus. Either way, tough go for us entry model guys for sure.

Hang in there. If your order still hasn’t been picked up in January, that’s when it will be time to really get nervous. But I fully understand your frustration. I was there not long ago.
Yeah, I don’t think I’m waiting until January. I’m going to have to get some tangible news on my car being at least in the system per se by November or maybe early December. Spring comes fast and more orders are just going to pile up as we go along here. I don’t want to lose out on whatever else I decide to get by waiting too long. I want to maximize my driving season so getting the car(whatever it ends up being)in my hands by March or shortly thereafter is critical.

This sucks, LOL.

There is a supplier constraint on the V6, has nothing to do with the price of the cars(I think a majority of us are ordering higher trims here on the forum which makes it seem that way). They are shipping and accepting orders for LT models with the 4 cylinder.

Oh - good to hear then if thats the case. Yes, the forum is heavily slanted towards the big lump. . Worst case, I consider changing to the T4 if the V6 becomes a major bottleneck. Maybe.

Great news for you. Wish some updates would come out about the V6 constraint issue. The clock keeps ticking.

If it's truly lifted in November I'm sure you'll have it by Spring. The way they are cranking these cars out this week it seems things are looking up. Let's hope it continues.

For what it is worth to you and I, as well as anyone else on here who is waiting on a car that was delayed by the Lansing factory shut-down the last 3 weeks, not cars delayed by the V6 constraints……my ZL1 had a TPW of 9/13/21, the first day of the factory shut-down. My car was actually built this week and my dealership sent me a screenshot today indicating that my car was picked up, 2 nights ago from the LGR factory by a truck and driven 16 miles to an address that I looked up and found on satellite, that is a new vehicle rail-yard. (7916 Davis Highway in Charlotte, Michigan) is the address if anyone is curious. I would assume that my car would not be sent to a rail-yard 16 miles from LGR if it wasn’t ready to go and had a spot on the train waiting for it. Hopefully your ZL1 and mine are on the next train out of town going in the direction that we each live. Good luck to you and all who are anxiously waiting!

Good! Me and others hope so. Was getting nervous early on here since everything was hush hush on this V6 issue. Still kind of is but at least getting news either way allows us to change our orders if need be. The silence is the hard part!

Good to know! I'd be curious if mine goes to a railyard or gets delivered by truck the whole way (being near Chicago it seems like it would make sense for the truck to just drive down). In the middle of writing this my dealer actually called me and they expect it next week. They just had another ZL1 built a few weeks ago and they already took delivery and he mentioned it skips the railyard being this close to Lansing so it's a truck the whole way. I hope that's actually true. I'll be posting next week if it's actually delivered.

I also had a TPW of 9/13. My dealer just emailed me informing me the car was built (even though I already knew a day earlier lol), but said the car was at "Intermediate Delivery (4300??)" status, and that they'd have more updates Wednesday.

Somewhere I read that deliveries within 500 miles are usually via truck, so Chicago would definitely fit that distance.

Man these dealers are something else. Ordered my car may 5th. Waited forever for an allocation and they told me I’d be the first 22 they get. Drive by the dealer today and they’ve got a 2022 2ss convertible sitting right out front. Unreal.
