While I waited 3 months to get PPF on my 1LE. The areas I circles showed impact much more than the SSes I owned earlier. Much higher and above the rocker.

I reacted by covering the entire door, rear quarter and the rocker. Partial covering could accomplish the same but consider going higher than the typical rocker panel.

I drove the 1LE with duck tap on the side until the PPF was installed. Now that its cover, I drive without angst.

Or instead, add side rockers (EOS, etc) and rock guards (RPI design). The rockers add to the SS 1LE look while the rock guards are nearly invisible. Much cheaper than PPF and has provided great protection so far to the areas you mentioned. Hardly any debris hitting the doors, rear fender areas, even on the track.

I bought the gen2 side rockers and then sold them (here). I prefer the cleaner look without them.

I came to the realization that you can't beat quality PPF installation, installed in the right places.

It looked a little high so I thought I'd mention it.

I bought my 20 used, with 2300 miles, in order to get Rally Green. It still had the front spring spacers in place. It comforted me because it signals the car wasn't tracked but amazed me that it was missed that long.

The guy traded it to a Dodge dealer for a Wrangler 392. Wealthy part of New York and the dealer knew him well and described him as a guy that changes cars all the time.
