Can you elaborate on why the link you provided says that 2019 model year testing is still pending? If it's only a HW swap, I'm curious why this wouldn't "just work" all the way back to 2016? Or, at least for 2019 and up?

It’s also not only a hardware swap there is a custom programming involved as well as ton of other issues for example getting the units registered properly with GM etc it’s a big deal to do this properly and have it all be OEM and properly interface with everything else as if it was built that way.
