Homemade rear seat delete kit

Finished product. Yes the material color doesn't match 100% but it's the closest color I can find. Some patience is required for making templates. Total weight is about 3 lbs.

Made templates out of cardboard. Made the kit out of exterior house insulation. Very light weight. Durable enough. 1/2 inch thick. Can't throw anything on back seat like you can the shrader kit but this also weighs like 3 lbs opposed to 20lbs. Costs 300 bucks less and even fits better.

How much for the Pink Panther Templates???

You could probably take those templates to an Auto Upholstery Shop or find someone with a Kydex machine and make some trick options.

Good work Sir!

Thank you. Lol those pink panther templates are actually the material used for the kit. Exterior house insulation. Made templates out of cardboard first. The insulation actually helps with road noise too. Without the rear seat at highway speeds it was loud now the noise is cut in half. I can make another kit with the left over board i have too. If anyone is interested and is in long island area.

Nice job Evolved!
Does it sound insulate enough so that it is not crazy loud?

Nice. Something I wanted to try out.
I was going to use a plastic corrugated sheet but this is another great option.
Great job on the fit.

Any concern about smell/vapors from insulation.

Very Professional

In my opinion your work is that of "professional". I think you have a chance to make and sell a few. Great work, clean, precise and good looking. Take a bow.
