I just finished this to keep from going stir crazy while we socially distance here in GA.

It is a fully functional balsa wood RC plane with aileron, rudder, elevator & throttle control.

Haven't flown it yet & will probably crash it but it was really fun to build and took quite a while to complete.

Now that it is done I guess it is back to Motor Trend TV
Wow that is beautiful! I would have a hard time taking it out to fly after building it.

An airbrush will take your finishes to another level. I used to do this hobby pretty seriously (planes though). I would bet you can find second hand airbrushes pretty cheap on ebay. Paasche-H is a good single-action to start, and I bet you can still get parts. I switched to a VL once I got good.
I would recommend a compressor with auto-start and an attached regulator. These are pretty cheap now. You also need a moisture trap.

There are plenty of youtubers putting up time-lapse full builds that make it all look easy. Just like in model railroading, there has been a bit of a resurgence in the hobby. Unfortunately it is skewed to more expensive kits. Granted they do have more detail and fewer fit problems which makes them worth it.

The R/C world has changed too with great LiPO's, gyros everywhere to stabilize things, and computerized radios. Never been easier to get into that hobby.

Rear suspension, differential, and brakes assembled:

There’s a lot of detail in this kit, took me two days of paint and assembly just to build the rear end. Lots going on there, and this is just a simplified version for a 1/25th scale plastic model. Gives you an idea of how sophisticated our suspensions are on our real Camaros.

Coming out the factory already needing a front-end alignment... ...where is quality control these days?

Haha! It’s weird because the camera on my phone makes it look like it’s worse than it is. But yeah, it definitely would track straight!

Good question? But I can’t answer it because I don’t know what EAT stands for. Besides “to put food in my mouth” that is!

Hey Petrol Head, you need to get rid of the suitcase muffler for an aftermarket exhaust! Lol...

Haha, I was just gonna say you need to throw on some Borlas, get rid of the secondary cats and the ugly crimped pipe section After all, this project is more about looks than power, eh? But seriously, this is coming together beautifully

Man, did you even paint some soot on the exhaust, near the weep holes?
