Glad to hear it. I actually found a dealership that has one on the lot. It's about 50 miles away. Same dealership they traded for the other car, different city. The VIN number is right between ours.
So I've had two phone calls from this dealership. They are all excited thinking they are going to sell this car. They are going to be a little disappointed when I pull in.

I'll have to see how it looks in better light and cleaned up. Going about lunch time to finish the purchase, but I'll inspect the car first. I also need to look at the hyper blue and the non-metallic black ones they have in the showroom.

Honestly right now I don't have a good feeling about bringing this car home. Heavy orange peel under the trunk, thin paint near the latch and primer visible looking into the fender? Yesterday I didn't look under the door, maybe didn't notice the front underside edge of the trunk. We'll see.

What do other colors look like in these areas?

I wouldn't be concerned about the orange peel UNDERNEATH the trunk. That's perfectly normal.

Car looks good. Compared all the spots to a hyper blue and a non metallic black that are in the showroom. Looked them and mine over really good. All the same and nothing like the pics from you other two guys. I'm happy and sorry you guys are having issues. At least you can hope the replacements will be good. FYI Mine was built 1/2016 per the door jam sticker (and 01/21/2016 per Becky).

The plant was shut down for a week or so for the holidays. No production but a lot of machine maintenance, upgrades, etc.

Mine has an issue on the spoiler and also a little spot on the RR fender well. A ball point pen size paint popped off. Its perfectly round and doesn't appear to be a chip. My hood had a bunch of surface scratches need to be resolved also. The place on the fender looks like it could have been an air pocket. The rest of the paint looks really good. I did notice the orange peel in the trunk area and under hood.

I am looking at a Mosaic Black SS built mid December. I cannot look at the car right now, long story, but does anyone know when the spray was fixed?

I think I made the supposition that it was possible spray problem, but it wasn't corroborated as fact.

LOL, no the the car is at the dealer. But it is over 100 miles away. I am involved in a GM buyback so I am just going there to pick up the car once the deal goes through. I will look at the car before buying it.

I just do not want to waste more time if most of the m-blacks have problems. They have a similarly optioned black one to choose also. But I like the m-black and I want the better paint job if this is still the case with Camaros. I had three 5th gens and the IOM 1LE paint job was way better than the 2 blacks.

So I have to choose now. I can't just go up there and switch. But I can refuse the car go home and start over. I am just so burnt out with having my 1LE getting totaled and then a couple of months later having my ZL1 bought back by GM. And then having to choose a car in stock that I have to locate myself. And then negotiating over the phone. Those dealers will wear you out.

I piled on as if it was fact! Those photos just got me worried. I asked the saleswoman to have someone look at the car and told her about the early robot factory spray pattern problem. Funny. She kind of got her back up. But then I made her laugh and she forgave me. I think.
