I think they are more used for high speed pursuits backups. The Camaro definitely handles better than what they use now.

I live in GA and have never seen a Camaro GSP, they mostly use chargers and suv’s

Noticed that Georgia cop car is an LT1 model. Wonder if they de-restricted it? The stock speed limiter in an LT1 is supposed to be set at 149~155 based on what Chevy claims for the car and what has been reported on the forum (instead of 180 for the SS model).

FL highway Patrol used to use the 4th generation SS and also used the Fox Body 5.0 up until the late 90s when they started to use the SS
Main purpose is to catch speeds on the highway. A few Sheriffs departments also used the s197 Mustang GT unmarked as well for traffic enforcement. |
