Any performance air filters for SS's stock air box?

Anyone have any opinions on air filters for the stock air box on a SS.

Will only lighten your wallet or be limited to purely subjective improvements.

The only good ones attach to the rearward-facing V-braces in the engine compartment.

I put the K&N panel filter in. It didn't cost too much and I am happy with it. Is there a difference? Maybe, maybe not.

Thanks bud for reminding me, K&N have always been known to be a good performance filter.

Summit Racing has a cheaper cost panel filter that looks like a K&N filter that fits in the stock air box. I ran one in my ZL1 until I bought a Roto-Fab CAI.

I had the K&N filter in my stock SS airbox and it was worth ZERO performance.

Also Mr Jannetty tested the Green filter in the stock SS airbox, ZERO power gained.

Have to agree with, only lightens your wallet if you paid the money expecting a hp gain. Only real benefit is the clean/re-oil instead of throw away aspect.
