Adding vinyl stripes any advice/tips appreciated!
As it says, bought hood, rear deck and spoiler stripes from bigwormgrafix. Any tips and/or pointers on installation would be appreciated. A local place wanted $350. I've watched a boatload of Camaro (mines a '14) youtube videos but nothing beats experience from those of you that have DIY. I appreciate all replies!

I've only done a few hood graphics, but I found that laying them out carefully on the hood and trying to find as close as possible where they need to be before hand helped. Clean the hell out of everything before you get started, and work in a clean area free of any breeze that may blow crap onto the surface! Make sure you have your tools handy, and be patient. Tape the backer down to hold it in place. Make sure you have more than enough solution in your spray bottle, and dont be afraid to use it! Make sure the first thing you wet are your hands, and keep them wet during the installation. Just be sure you soak the hood before the graphic goes down so you can slide it into place. Once it sticks, it's tough to get it lifted again. Keep it wet.

Never done the stripes before but done plenty of smaller stuff and for sure the dry fit and tape it down with masking in the center method always seems to work the best. Easier to set one half in place and then work the second half later. Biggest mistake I ever made was getting a decal down and tearing the backing paper in half instead of cutting it. When I went to lay the second half down I realized that tearing the backing paper had left paper fibres attached to the decal and ended up having to buy a whole new decal. Ever since then I always cut with a knife and then fold the backing paper about a half inch back so the cut backing paper never contacts the vinyl.
