So, we are going with summer tires in Washington? Did they move that state or something?

He didn't say summer tires.I did, that's what I run all year in middle Ga.

Indeed, and he is in Washington, so perhaps all seasons are best. Though I don't know the actual climate. I know Central OR summers are hot, but snowy winters.

Don't know his exact location.
Just checking a few climate maps, the winter low doesn't get too bad. So he would not have to worry about cracking if he stored the tires or left them on the car. The flip side is summer doesn't get that hot, with average highs in the upper 70's. And most months the average lows dip below 45 degrees, which is where summer tires start to transition and lose grip.
So I don't see him enjoying the benefit of summer compound.

Last fall I replaced my factory runflats with Goodyear*Eagle Exhilarate (non-runflats).

Tire Size: 245/40R20

They are much quieter and hold up very well in the rain.
