Dyno in the morning for Lt2/95mm tuning-Graph added
Finally got it all set up for some dyno pulls and tuning of the MAF, etc for the new ported Lt2 and 95mm TB. No other changes have been made since the install so we'll see where we are at by about noon. Remember it made 431 on just E85 and Rotofab CAI. That was on E57 or E58, we should be a little higher on these pulls, I'll add the new E in the morning and hopefully it will be in the mid E60s. Not much more power to be made above E65 on a stock motor with just bolt on parts. Will post some info tomorrow afternoon.
Ported LT2/Stock 95mm TB This next one is from the March 2022 Lt1 IM/TB Had the dyno guy send me a pic of the pull

Will do, I've made probably 100 pulls or more on this dyno in the last 6 years with both of my Camaro's and my C7. When you can go back to the same dyno every time you always know it's consistent and not some dyno guy tuning and trying to give you big numbers. He doesn't tune, just owns and runs the dyno and doesn't care what your numbers are. I do the tuning with a little some help from phil@phdtuning.

id guess it'll pick up a solid 20 whp and prob 1-1.5 mph.
i'm surprised how much timing it doesnt take for these cars to make power.

Definitely curious to see what the AFR and power gains are from the LT2 with it just bolted on and with the tune adjusted for the LT2.

In for results.
Betting theres gain powerwise in adjusting to hit targeted AFRs, and flattening that curve

in for the results as well. Laynlo's bolt-on build this time around is similar to my Plan B for my LT1. I'm guessing an extra 25 rwhp and a nice gain before redline where the stock LT1 intake manifold nose dives.

Well the results were disappointing to say the least. Made 10 pulls, first pull was 419 and we knew that might happen since a couple logs had shown it was rich. But our peak rwhp was only 436 and 441 rwtq. We did have higher temps and DA today. If I remember right it was about 85 degrees in the shop. I don't recall what my previous KPA was in March but we at 96 kpa on most pulls. Not sure if we have a vacuum leak or not. I figured it would be in the 97 to 99 range. Plus I walked off without picking up the print out for the dyno pulls. Its 35 miles back to the dyno so not going to worry about it at this point. It does feel strong on the street but won't know much till I can get back to the track. Unfortunately, its hot here in Missouri and not much power can be made when you make a pass and its 90 degrees. I'm not a fan of the adapters even though its ported to match the intake. I may pull it to make sure its sealed properly and probably take it off. I'd already slotted my 95mm TB so I just put it back on without the adapter like I did on my C7.

I would think the correction factors would help offset the losses from weather.
That being said I do think the real gains that get the car moving are mostly from increasing average power. My blue car was trapping north of 126 with this intake. The same DRs, wheels, weight, and weather it trapped 117.5mph stock tune, no bolt on. That car didn’t have many mods, a good portion of those gains had to come from the manifold. I would expect positive results at the track

dynos are dynos. i swapped a stock LT2 on my car with the stock tb and it picked up quite a bit without touching the tune. it was already tuned for the ported LT1, exhaust & ethanol. the dog days of summer are a bad time to be splitting hairs looking for small gains. the car will run better, no doubt.
