Camaro LT1 Tire Set Up Recommendation

Hey everybody, this is my first post on here so I apologize if I’m doing something wrong or overlooking an already answered post. I have a 2021 Camaro LT1 and I’m having a pretty tough time getting my tires to hook up. The best 0-60 I ran was 4.5 on the stock all seasons and I haven’t been able to replicate that. I switched to Nitto 555G2’s and they’re pretty bad. 0-60 usually is about 5.0 flat. So I put the all seasons back on and I’m getting about 4.8 usually. A little disappointed to say the least, but I’m assuming it’s because the stock rims cant fit super wide tires. My tires are still spinning at almost 40mph. If I could run a 4.5 0-60 consistently I’d be a happy camper. Anyone have any tire recommendations? I was thinking Michelin Pilot Sport Cups or something along those lines. Thanks (oh and I tend to shy away from launching with traction control off, I almost wound up in the farm field next to my house, that could be a large part of it too. I launch in sport mode with a small “brake rev”)

What pressure were you running in the Nittos?

Thanks for the warm welcome Yeah I would assume the thinner tires would make a difference. I’m used to my challenger scat pack which had meaty tires and was doing 0-60 in about 4.2 seconds. Might have to invest in bigger wheels. (Sorry for the late reply, I’ve been lacking internet)

I believe they’re between 37-38. A tad high I guess, I haven’t messed with their pressure too much (Sorry for the late reply I haven’t had internet access lately)

assuming its the 245/40/20 that aint' much of a tire but oddly youre getting fair 0-60 times over the 555G2, albeit pressures are much too high as you noticed. If those Nitto's are that size, drop cold PSI to 32.
