OP means the orange transportation rubber pieces on the springs, which should be removed before driving.

And with the other question about the TWIs (Tread-Wear Indicators), these are located inside the tire's profile (center groove), once they are level with the edge of the groove, it means time has come to replace the tires

[QUOTE=bub;9810937]I'd never noticed this "baby winged foot" before on the tires. Have to look now...in the lower left of the OP's photo of shipping spacer below

Wish we had these in the 70’s when we jacked up the front end on the 1969 RS. Found them in box of my ZL1. Thanks for the post

And so all tow truck drivers are going to know that they need to install these prior to loading on their flatbed...and that is if you even keep them in the car somewhere forever?

I had my 1LE put on a flat bed and no nose dragging. The tow guy should know how to do it and the ramp is not that steep. I think these are for the quick load/unload from the steeper transport used to ship the car.

I bought my SS 1LE used with almost 3k miles on it, and found these installed on both front springs. Probably the reason the first owner thought the suspension didnt feel quite right. Feels great now lol, pulled them out as soon as I got home and found them cleaning it.
