Power Steering/Brake Fluid

Quick question here, what "brand" are you using for your power steering fluid & brake fluid??
Is it recommended strictly a GM brand? On other brands like at autozone or pepboys they say "Meant for American cars"...
Any input will help ..just want to make sure thank yall!

Brake, Motul 5.1 non-silicon $12 on amazon.

For racing use, but you are not supposed to mix silicon witn non-
So watch what you buy. I'm not the brake fluid expert, it's just answering your question.

There's so many to choose from. Look in yout owners manual and find what type of fluid should be used. Then buy whatever brand you want that meets the specifications in the owners manual. If your racing you may need to step up to higher quality/brand fluids.

Since you don't have the owners manual you can see a copy of it online. Go to chevrolet.com and select Owners, and put in your model and year. You can also print it if you need a hard copy.

I am not able to answer the OP's question "the green bottle on isle 3", but if anyone else drops by this thread and wants more info on brake fluids a great post:

When did the SS get electric power steering?

Again, the owner's manual is your friend, and it's online.

I put a copy on my phone. So if I need something, say a brake light bulb warning pops up, I can look it up when I get to the parts store.
