Definitely the car has engine mods and wonder if tuning has been done also. I think I would pass on it too.

I understand that, but with the way the market is currently for used cars (that they cost almost as much as the car was new) that I would avoid paying new car prices for a car that has been in an accident. One of the reasons I get a new car is to avoid the gamble that comes with used cars, and the car being in an accident is just one more thing you are gambling on to not cause problems down the road.

It's fair priced in today's market. Low mileage and looks like previous owner took care of it. Worth looking at imo...if it drives nice and you cannot tell it was repaired go for it.

Huge pass on that car. Firstly, that price is temporary as the car market will come crashing down at some point, probably sooner than later (the stock market is leading the charge).
I traded a 2016 1SS convertible in 2019 (9K miles) for 27K (trade value then) retail ~ 30K. So, that give you an idea of how out of whack prices are now…. 3 years later, with higher interest rates. Be patient. As far as mods and the accident, I wouldn’t touch it for those reasons (as well), unless I personally knew the entire history. It’s like going to a gum-ball machine…you could get a nice surprise, or maybe not. Not worth the risk IMO. |

I'd still give it a chance but have it thoroughly inspected first, plus negotiate this price (obviously).

Hard pass. East Coast damaged vehicle that spent time in Colorado and had an accident.

You can never be sure from just pics but car looks solid to me. Yes there's some mods but they seem well executed. How does it run?
With the auto trans, mag ride, NPP exhaust, black Chevy emblems, split spoke gloss black wheels, GM dark tail lights, and aftermarket side marker lights (LED most likely). It looks like the original owner had good taste and likely did things right and continued his mods for some time after the purchase. You're looking at a car that stickered north of $42K and just has 12K miles on it. Interior looks super clean and the crash repair came early enuff for the paint to fade evenly and remain unnoticeable. Hmmm, tuff call but I don't like the hash marks- but they're easy to get rid of (and the used car guy might worry if you voice your disapproval). Some states can provide the previous owner's phone number for questions. How 'bout Louisiana? Either way I say follow your heart and if you are not planning a trade-in, negotiate hard for a lower price. These are great cars and IMHO, the '16-'17 SS models look better than the "refreshed" cars that came just after. |

One other thing I'd like to point out: some of the mods shown do require the tune on the CPU to be changed to get the best results for the part/parts. If this is the case, the CPU being "opened" will nullify the warranty 99.999% of the time.
