Well, it finally happened!

Car was driven in the rain for the first time ever today!
Luckily it was only a few miles and wasn't pouring!

I used to use spray detailer immediately if I was caught in the rain. But that was when I was single and could afford two personal cars. Now it’s everyday driving for my sports car. Enjoy your fair weather car!

Yes, and they are probably the original blades!

Heh, this car isn't made of cotton candy, it sure can take some rain

I got caught in a couple insane southern downpours lately and they were no problem with PS4S tires.

Ugh, I've literally had nightmares about that! You made it 6 years, kudos to you!!!

My car is only 2.75 years old, but I just realized, I don't know if the wipers work, I should check them next time I wash the car as if they don't I can get them fixed before the 3/36 runs out next January...

Well, I only contributed to 2.5 years! I bought it in Dec '19 and it had 1860 miles on it. It was some guy's toy in SLC and was clearly kept inside. I had it trucked to MI inside a trailer. When I bought it, the underside looked like it just rolled out of Lansing. Still mostly does. I've put 4600 miles on it over the 3 summers I've had it. I miss 6 weeks of driving anything every summer too, which contributes to the lack of miles. I should probably just sell it, but my wife (who hates that I bought it) says just keep it! How's life at 45,000'? Man I miss flying! Need anyone to yank gear?!

It's surprising that the undercarriages stay looking good when you don't drive them in the rain. My 2017 still looks really well considering it's 5 years old.

Good grief! And I thought I was "conscientious"!

Tip: whenever you wash the car, wipe off the wiper blades too while still damp and if you use a silicon based "tire black", treat your blades to a swipe too. They'll last forever, won't crack and remain flexible like new.

I have Cup2s on my 1LE and it rains a lot in Miami. I have to go like 30mph on the highway when it happens.

Don't you hate it when that happens... I do... Won't be long and she'll be put away for winter too.
