Waterless Touchup?

What products do you use for waterless touchups? As in you washed your car yesterday, but now there's a bug splattered on it. (Needs to be waterless...no driveway hose washing allowed in my township.) TIA.

Ive always used Honda spray cleaner and polish. But this may change after I get the ceramic coating done.

Here are two of many threads on the topic:

https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=484594

https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=490786

“Glen e” and “KirkH” have some great threads on the topic. I use ECH2O and have been happy with the results. You might want to search the Cosmetic Maintenance section for other suggestions.

For bugs & bug-guts, and tar: Turtle Wax Bug-n-Tar remover and an Eagle Edgeless plush microfiber towel. Drip it on and let the stuff soak for AT LEAST 60-90 seconds. Never drag bug parts across dry paint. The carapaces will swirl. Roll your towel and/or Blot + pinch them off.

Afterward, quick detail the area with "Magic Elixer*" and a clean same towel. Just enough soap from the Ech20 to take care of the terpentine residue from the TWB&TR and reload to restore the hydrophobic.

* Magic Elixer:
1 part Carpro Ech20
4 parts Carpro Reload
20 parts Distilled water.

Optimum rinse less wash would be a good choice.
Great lubrication for safe cleaning.
No need for a hose. you can fill a bucket with 3 gal of water in the house and wash the car. Put some in a spray bottle and pre treat the car before you put a microfiber mitt to it.
That should give lots of lubrication for safe washing
All in all use a total of 3+ gal and no hose needed
I hardly ever do hose washes anymore and 90% of car washing I do is with ONR. If it is really dirty I will give it a pre rinse and you could do a pre hose at a DIY car wash if it was to dirty to start with ONR
ONR is the original and was created by Dr. Ghodoussi he helped to create modern clear coat. So he knows a thing or two on cleaning it

I recommend the Optimum sponge over MF wash mitt

Thanks for the responses so far. But just to be clear, I'm looking for something to spot clean small areas in between full washes.

ONR again.
you can mix it up as a quick detailer in a bottle.
Use as a quick detailer and clay bar lubricant, mix 1oz of ONR to 16oz of water

I use Meguiar's Waterless Wash. I buy it by the gallon when available.

the trick is really have a good coat of wax on before the splat..then soak it in your favorite spray and let it soften up and it should wipe rite off? works for me every time.

This is what detail sprays are for. Plenty to choose from, pick your favorite. But realize, if you drag dirt or debris without proper lubrication, you scratch.

Chemical guys V07 quick detailer, have always gotten best results using it

I buy it by the gallon, keep one smaller spray bottle in the car for quick car show touchups and a much larger spray bottle on my work bench for garage clean ups

As mentioned use plenty of spray to prevent dry wiping

Yeah sounds like you just want a good detail spray OP. There are so many out there. My last few bottles have been Auto Fanatic 007 Gloss Enhancer. I'm a fan, but there are lots of great options.

Poorboys works great for me. I've been using it for years. My cars hardly ever see a hose and a bucket. https://www.autogeek.net/pbsaw128.ht...ent=Ad%20group
