Ok that makes 4 2020 Camaro SS 1LEs with the plaque, 3 with 2020 build dates and one unknown so far.

Does the fuel rail cover just pop or pull off? Or is it bolted on/ I haven't done anything to my car that way yet.

The easiest way is to hold both ends of the cover and pull straight up. There are two studs that the cover’s rubber bushing clip to that are attached to the intake manifold cover. To reinstall, line up the bushings to the studs and press down.

I had to unclip the two fuel line clips to get enough room to pop the drivers side cover off.

The Performance Build Center started in 2005 in Wixom,Mi. They built several different engines. It was moved to Bowling Green in 2014. At that time they were building LS engines, expanded with the new LT engine in 2016 and earlier models had to order the Z07 option package to get a hand built engine. If It didn’t have a Z07 option, the engine came from Tonawanda NY. In 2017 the PBC was given all Z06 engines. From then on, all Z06 and ZR1 cars were PBC engines. LT1 engines were added, but in small numbers, but I believe the engine plants were at full capacity. At some point, we got all LT1 manual transmission cars.

The above statement is from a reliable source at the factory who wishes to remain unnamed. This would explain the Corvette side of it.

Here’s what I know so far..... Counting myself there are a total 5 known 2020 Camaro SS 1LEs that have the hand built Bowling Green LT1 engines installed. Based on information from another thread they are 54 known LT4 hand built engines installed in ZL1 Camaros. So for what ever reason these engines are in these cars, the number will be way low compared to the total number of Camaros built in 2020.

I talked to the woman who built my engine. She told me they are building all of the LT1s there. However the ones that will be mated with an auto get some assembly line help so they will not get a nameplate. Only manuals will have the nameplate. Currently they build all LT1s for the Camaro, LT4s, and the LTA for the Cadillac. She did not give me a reason as to why they were not building the LT2 there.

Has anybody heard of a 2017 model having one? Or is this just happening to the newer models?
