Rear Seat Delete
Went in the back of my car to clean the rear window...that's a DIY in itself!
I noticed I can actually pull down the back of the seat to have access to the trunk...good for long objects I guess. Then I got to think as I contorted myself to get out, does anyone make a rear seat delete kit? I know in the P car world there's a kit, so just wondering if there's one for the Camaro? I'll check out an upholstery shop one of these days to see what they can do. The search is on!

Was the install pretty straight forward or did you need to figure things out which was not in the instructions?
What I mean by figure things out, is did you have to modify anything to make the kit fit? On a scale from 1 - 10...10 being as load as uncapped headers, and 1 being a stock SS idling, how load is the noise from under the car? Any pics?

As for the noise, It is hard to say because I have the Corsa sport exhaust with their x-pipe and every time I am in the car I have a helmet on and usually have the throttle wide open. My car is a dedicated track car now. I'm sure it is louder but its difficult for me to quantify for you. Will post pics later when at home. |

Pics after install. They even give you pieces of carpet to cover the seatbelt and seat mounting holes. Nice touch:

Thats a clean looking kit ! But is it really worth it for the 20lbs weight reduction? Plus then at that point, you might as well have got a c7 vette. Part of the reason I chose the Camaro over the Vette was the back seats. But if I ever decide I don't care about the back seats, this seat delete kit looks awesome

^^^ I agree with you. For a street car not worth it. However on a track car yes. I am putting in a full roll bar and race seats with harnesses. No reason for a back seat for me. My car is a permanent track car.
