Side Skirt Gap

Anyone every use a line of black silicone or something in the gap of their side skirts? Small gap showing some of the doubled sided tape wasn’t sure best way to try and cover it.

You have factory or aftermarket skirts?

Some proper rivets will pull the panels together and tighten up the gaps. And make the skirts much more secure.

Yeah wasn’t really wanting to go through the sides of my rockers… trying to leave it to the tape on the top end and screws/rivets under.

I had the exact same thought when installing EOS side skirts on my car. Unfortunately, I also had the exact same gap as you I then considering doing the same… black silicon. In the end, I didn’t do it because I bought another set of GM skirts.

That said, I still believe black silicon might be a simple solution. I just never researched it enough to know if it can be easily and completely removed. If not, I wouldn’t bother.

I should mention, I used more and wider tape than instructed and still had it pulling away.

Pretty penny… I bought mine unused from a member for 800. New, they’re 1200

I used clear 3m tape near the top of the sides. No more gaps

Get some black EPDM gasket weatherstrip from the hardware store. It flattens out to almost nothing and will give a nice finished look to any gaps if you take the time to line it up. Pretty simple. It has an adhesive backing. Splits down the middle so you only use one side. See link for picture and description below. I used it for an EOS front splitter on my C6 GS that had a gap and worked perfectly.
