Lipstick Red Alea Leather seats via my Chevy dealer!
When my wife and I were in the process of buying our brand new 2022 LT1 at the end of August from our local Chevrolet dealership, he asked if there was anyhting else we wanted to add to the order to make the car more perfect for us. At this moment, this is what our black-with-Redline option interior looked like (see attached photo):
I laughingly replied that "lipstick Red" leather seats would really go well with the Redline theme started by the factory! He did not miss a beat, immediately replying "We can arrange that". Turns out that this dealership partners with local shops to provide extra customizations that GM does not offer. So, we would be able to order, and include in the sales agreement, an Alea Leather seating package that would be installed by a local leather upholstery shop and would come with a 3-year Alea warranty! My only concern was how closely or not closely the Alea Leather package colour, selected from a thick stack of Alea Leather samples, would match the existing Redline trim pieces in the interior. But as you can see below, the match is pretty impressive, given that Alea had only 2 shades of Red available in that sample stack. So we added the Alea package to our car. Below are the results! As you can see, the addition of the red leather trasnformed the interior, picking up the colour theme staretd by GM and carrying it to a sporty conclusion! We LOVE it! Jim G |
