Wheel Cleaner

The Griots Heavy duty wheel cleaner that I'm using is not good enough for me. I got busy the last couple of months.. and let my wheels go.. now I have time to get then cleaned up. any recommendation of wheel cleaner that works well with our 20 inch brake dust magnets . ?

Adam's old (not the eco) wheel cleaner works fine here, never had problems with it. Leaves the paint alone and cleans very well, makes even my 1LE wheels that aren't ceramic coated easy to clean.

Are you looking for a spray and hose off type of product? Or just a cleaner in general.

I have a dedicated wash bucket for the wheels alone. Alone with a cleaner, multiple size brushes, detail brush and tire dressing.

If you just want a spray and hose type, I know the turtle wax wheel cleaner gets really good reviews and can be had anywhere.

I use this for dirty wheels.
https://www.autoality.com/store/pc/3...z-320p7885.htm

It will make over 6gal of product and melts brake dust away

P&S brake buster, was hesitant to use it but after getting recommended by 2 local detailers I gave it a shot. As good of results as Chemical Guys diablo but worlds cheaper.

I like Meguiars acid wheel cleaner but dont get it on aluminum wheels.

Those 3 cleaners on my list are ones that have the chemical that turns pink signalling chemical reaction with brake dust. The OP was looking for something stronger. These 3 are strong but won't do any damage to any kind of wheel..

Sonax Xtreme Wheel Cleaner - It is a spray on and rinse off affair. A little pricey but its good stuff and I use it on all of my wheels.

I have only used DP & Wolfgang's wheel & tire cleaners. Wolfgang's does a better job of the two. Sonax is next on the list to try.
