Can anyone shed more light on this? Bolts-ons are fairly straight forward, but engineering should be left to certified pros. I would trust Callaway because they actually engineer solutions, but they won't tune my car without a $25,000 investment and upgrade of the supercharger. Other than that, I am looking for bullet-proof recommendations. Thanks!
Hi,

I see you are in NW Sub's of Chitown. So am I. I had my work done at Speed Inc in Schaumburg. They know their stuff...been doing it for many years. They've done other ZL's for guys on the forum too.

Also, Juiced is doing tunes now in St Charles. Don't have experience with Tuning from them but they are great for getting/installing (if needed) any kind of parts. Great prices...

PM me if you want more info...but IMO, a tune is definitely worth it.

Jim

Zigg, Very cool. I agree. The Borla S-Type is spectacular in every way. It is difficult to tell by video, but sit in, and stand behind the vehicle, drive windows down/up it is pretty much perfect inside and out of the cabin. I'm sure others are good too, but based on the research I did here on the forum, I made the right choice and am thrilled with the outcome after the install. Grateful to all of those on the forum that posted about this exhaust previously. It was a huge help for sure!

My next step would be headers and high flow cats. I am looking at the Texas speed headers. They seem to be very good quality and a bit cheaper than say ARH or Kooks.. any thoughts?

#2 / Wrong on one thing here, Borla catback weighs more than the factory catback as do all of the SS catbacks. The factory catback exhaust is surprisingly light.

I have Borla S, does sound great!

Borla Stype is way better. I is gonna weigh more the pipe is larger. I doubt it will make a difference that you would notice. Unless you're a professional driver. I am a pretty good driver but not that good. I usually pass everyone on the go cart tracks.
