Best weight reductions ?

I’m FBO besides a cam, looking into possible weight reductions. Going to do a back seat delete I know that’s good for a little bit of weight but other than that I’m not sure what else to do.

Lightweight battery. Remove your passenger seat at the track. Lightweight wheels all around for the strip. Racing drivers seat. Dump your exhaust at the axle. Those are the easiest things

Take off the headliner and remove the curtain airbags that run the length of the roof. Can put the headliner back on and no one would know they are gone. Buy some rain-x and remove the windshield wiper assembly. Remove the front/rear bumper guards.. I noticed that these cars are so heavy because of all of the safety equipment.

I can weigh them when I get home. Around 20lbs would be my guess. They are like 4ft long with motor assemblies at the end of them.

Hopefully I'll get to weigh my car at the track next weekend. I originally lost 100 lbs with my Hoosier/Race Star Wheel Drag Pack. Over the winter I went to M/T SR radials up front and M/T 17" Street R's on the rear with Race Star wheels again. Gained 40 lbs back on? What was I thinking? I'm probably gonna be back up to about 3900 lbs with me in the drivers seat. I do have a 6 pt Chromoly Rpm Bar in the car which was 80 lbs so I removed the front passenger seat and rear seat which was about 85 lbs total so that was a wash.

A bran cereal and cup of coffee before race. You may want to visit the wash room before you line up.

1. Rear seats, take out the two lower seat belt connectors
2. Passenger seat
3. Trunk liners on side, carpet, plastic rear liner, foam cover
4. After I took off front nose of car I did not put back a foam piece that always squeaked anyways
5. Take your hood liner off if u have one, my carbon hood does not have one.
6. Door liners and all speakers if your going all out.(have not done that yet)
7. Go catless
8. Modified exhaust, I am thinking of revisiting muffler shop so I can have disconnected mufflers instead of welded stainless steel
9. Your plastic valve covers, manifold plastic intake cover.
10. Don’t have any windshield washer fluid

I am sure there is more other people do. Will add more probably forgot a few.

Really depends what you want to do with the car, for how far you want to go. Myself, I have no trunk liners, foam or carpet in the trunk. Back seats are removed. front crash bar. Carlyle rear brakes, 1 piece driveshaft, no wipers or wiper motor, washer tank is gone as well as a few misc items in between. My car is a 1SS and weighed 3348 without me in it, on the drag pack. I plan to do front brakes, and possibly change the front seats in the near future, but for now, I'm satisfied.
