Considering they don’t even show their subscriber count and 35k is the most views one of their videos received, I’m guessing they’re not too worried.

That is actually my car that they used. We just started the channel this year and it has been going well so far. Starting to grow but we definitely need to refine things a bit.

I may have missed something, but how can they compare results (autocross, drag racing) when the drivers were different for each car? Completely invalidates their conclusions. The driver of the Camaro didn't even try to no lift shift during the drag races...
The hot laps were done with the same driver and sure enough, the 1LE decimated the Type R.

Cool video, but I would think the V6 1LE would be a much better match up.

Depends on what you are doing. The Civic is a great car for autocross. The 1LE is ok, probably better than it should be for the weight, but numbers just win a numbers contest.

Those civics are really fast in autox but are D-Street while SLE is B-Street. Driver and tires make such a huge difference though. They made it seem like the R was the superior autox car but it's not. SLE is faster despite it's size and weight, somehow...
Also, Camaro has folding backseat and can carry 2x4s no problem. The issue is if anything is larger than a milk crate, it won't fit through the mail slot, lol...

It was more about the price as that is what most people shop by. So for your $45-50k Canadian, what is the better car? The V6 1LE would have been high $30's which is quite a bit cheaper than the Type R

I don't think it would make a huge difference in SS 1LE. It may or may not even shave off 0.1 seconds.
It's an NA engine so lift or no lift, there is no boost to worry about. It's more critical for CTR because with a turbo engine, you lose boost when you shift normally with a manual and NLS can help quite significantly as you no longer lose boost between shifts. Quote:
But yeah, I have a long way to go when it comes to driver skills.
