Trap Speed feels off by 5mph

2019 Camaro 1SS 6MT only has GM CAI, everything else stock. Stock Goodyear RF's 275 rear / stock psi 35

Went to OSW for the first time in my SS. Ran 4 times DA was 1500 to 1700
God it was hot for February, 85 - 90degrees

All nannies off / Best while launching at 2k rpms was a 13.0006 @ 111.27 with a garbage 2.345 60ft
My trap never budged from 111 all day but neither did my 60ft ever get under 2.3

If my 60ft improves, will my trap? I feel like I should be trapping higher even with the bad 60ft.
These cars are supposed to trap at 116 stock right?

Something feels off besides my launch skills.

I need advice from some veteran racers. I'm trying to maximize my results in stock form FYI. - Thank you

P.S. Can post pic of PB slip if needed.

Its off but not that far for a 13.00 pass. My 16 A8 ran 12.04@116 bone stock with 500 miles. I think I had like a 1.78 60ft. Manuals typically don't mph as high as the A8s and A10. Get a set of drag radial and practice your launch, your wasting stock tires with an M6.
Check out the spread sheet for the 1/4 miles M6 stock list

Here is the A8 list. Mph's are all over the place but you can see the MPH are generally higher then the M6s.

Yes, bought it CPO from a reputable Chevy Dealer with 18k miles and it was already installed.

With that bad of a 60ft your trap should improve quite a bit with a better launch. I bet you see 115-116mph or so with a 1.9 60ft.

Yes your trap speed is weak but a better 60 ft with no power changes will only help your ET and ET is what you want. Going to be hard to get your 60ft times below 2.0 with a manual trans. Your last outing with the 2.3 60ft and 13.0 time slip should improve to 12.6 ET with a 2.0 60ft time on that same day. That is about all you can expect imo, on a better DA day (much lower temps) you could/should pick up a few MPH and a couple of tenths putting you 113 mph and 12.4 which is definitely it for a bone stock M6 car imo. Generally the more you spin, the more trap speed you may see, but your ET suffers.
BTW, what was your 1/8 mile MPH and ET?

When you have a really bad 60ft, trap speed also suffers. Now there is a point where trap speed doesn't increase with a better 60ft but you have to be launching much better than a 2.3 before that is a thing.

Should also note: Track Prep was good for a "Funday Sunday" it was sticky. I should of adjusted my muscle memory of 2k rpm launch on the street (Private backroad) got a 12.9 with built in dash timer FYI. (still not satisfactory)

Probably should of been launching at 3k or 4k knowing the track was prepped well.

Next Funday Sunday I will adjust and hopefully get better results.

At least I beat everything I raced out of the 4 times except for a FBO Hellcat LOL

370z
GTI
CTR
were on the lunch menu for my SS LOL

Some examples of 60 ft times, ET and trap speeds.

I have 3 runs on my 10 speed auto car same day with OE all season tires, full to the brim tank of gas for weight and with 440 HP at the rear wheel (few bolt ons and E85)

All 3 passes on a 2000 DA day were a consistant 2.04 60 ft, 1/8 mile mph, 94.68, 95.28, 94.83, trap speeds, 119.44, 119.81, 119.39, ET 12.03, 12.07, 12.03. My next try 1 pass in a 1000 DA day, 1/8 tank fuel and 305 45 17 ETstreet R tire, same track , same lane, 1.70 60 ft, 1/8 mile mph 96.49, ET 11.44, Trap mph 122.14. That is less than a 2 mph diff in the 1/8 mile and 2.5 mph in the 1/4 mile during a lower DA day and a 100 lbs lighter which really explains the MPH difference.

As far as your 60' times, try letting the rear tires down to ~25 psi and some more rpm at launch?

As far as trap speed, nobody asked yet, so what rpm are you shifting at, and are you using the no-lift-shift feature? Driver technique in an M6 could definitely affect the trap speed.

Thanks, I'm trying to run in full street trim so no tire psi adjustments, yet.
Shifting at 6.4k rpm and I always use the NLS feature.

Next time I will try launching around 3k to 3.5k and see if that will improve 60ft.

Thanks again
