I did some weight savings on my Z a while back. I got it under 3600. Car was harder to drive in autocross. Most of the weight was removed from the back. Tiny battery, only running 2 gallons of fuel, removing rear seat etc. Basically I took out 100lbs out of the ass of the car. Making a nose heavy car even more nose heavy percentage wise. I put the stock battery back in and run with a near full tank now, and the is much more neutral.

I’m in the same boat, I’m trying to lighten up and keep handling on point. Now I’m guessing this is where aero comes into play. To give us more down force at speed. I did the the regular gut of back seats n such, but installed a RPM roll bar, Recaro pole position seat, etc. |
