PDR repository

You know what would make this thread better...

A repository with all the PDR files...

I use this thread to watch videos of tho's with similar setups and try to learn from them to improve myself. If I had the PDR data to layover my own I could further learn and hone my skills. I'm sure others would find this useful as well...

I went ahead and created a link to kick it off. I will put my video's in there shortly. Maybe we can get this added to post 1 for everyone to use?

https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...zX?usp=sharing

Hopefully, this will take off. If there is a repository out there that I am unaware of please let me know.

YouTube is also a good option and perhaps a bit easier to consume the content.

Here's mine. I have raw PDR files as well as edited GoPro + PDR video files that I'd be willing to upload to Drive, but they're massive in size. Another benefit to YouTube is the files are already compressed and in the cloud.

I think he is referring to the actual PDR data file, not the video itself.

I like this idea, but the video files themselves would be quite a bit. Are you referring to the data files?

Ah, you're totally right! I got caught up on, "I use this thread to watch videos..." and didn't account for, "If I had the PDR data..."

I'm down for a repository of PDR files, but I suspect you'll quickly run out of GDrive space @tomster.

Is there a way to separate the data from the video file? All of the data is stored in the .MP4 file along with the video by default which can be over 1GB per session on track.

I imagine someone would have to pay to host the .MP4 files publicly compared to the video portion being free to post on YouTube. I assume the data is stripped away from the video as part of the YouTube upload.

Good point. I was thinking of the .GPX file, but that only holds the track map start/finish line markings.

The .GPX files are only helpful if they use them before recording with the PDR 1. You can't clip the .MP4 files and maintain the data, so you'd end up with a huge mess to maintain. The best bet is to contact someone directly if you want to do lap comparisons and get the individual session file.
